Get Involved with UW–Madison’s Criminal Justice Certificate Program!
The Center for Law, Society, & Justice (CLSJ) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison invites organizations and community partners to get involved with our Criminal Justice Certificate Program — a hands-on, collaborative initiative that connects students with real-world experiences in legal, governmental, and community-based settings.
A cornerstone of our program is the internship component, which allows students to apply classroom learning to meaningful professional environments. While many partners operate directly within the criminal justice system, we encourage participation from all types of organizations — nonprofits, advocacy groups, government agencies, and community programs — whose work intersects with law, justice, or social impact in any way. Diversity in placements enriches our students’ understanding and broadens their perspectives.
Our students are available for internships year-round:
Beyond internships, we also offer other engagement opportunities, such as:
Each partnership helps our students grow into ethical, culturally sensitive professionals while providing organizations with dedicated, motivated support.
