Join us for a virtual info session on March 26, 2026, where we’ll share details about the program, who is eligible, what youth can expect, and how to get referred.

We are offering two Zoom session options so families, supportive adults, and community partners can attend at the time that works best for them:

The Youth Employment Program (YEP) is designed for youth ages 14–18 and provides a supportive space to build real-world skills and prepare for future employment opportunities. The program includes job readiness workshops, mock interviews, career exploration, mentorship, emotional wellness support, and job placement assistance.

The program runs as an 8-week cohort on Saturdays from 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM. Our first cohort begins April 25, 2026, and runs through June 13, 2026, followed by a graduation ceremony on June 27, 2026.

Additional cohorts are also being planned for:
July 2026
October 2026
Tentative dates to be announced.

Food and drinks will be provided during all sessions.

Who can join?

YEP is open to youth ages 14–18 who are:

  • Under a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), Consent Decree, or Formal Supervision
  • Referred through a community partner or supportive adult

Referral Partners
  • Youth Justice & Prevention
  • Schools (including alternative schools)
  • Dane County Juvenile Court
  • Department of Juvenile Corrections
  • Briarpatch Intensive Supervision
  • Community-based organizations
  • Parents or other Supportive Adult

How to refer a Youth
  1. A community partner or family member completes the online pre-screening form.
  2. Urban Triage staff review and schedule an intake interview with the youth.
  3. Selected youth receive orientation and are placed into the next available cohort.
